Summer may be in full swing, but it’s never too early to begin preparing your home for holiday guests. Custom projects should be ordered by September 29, to ensure completion in time for the holidays. Drapery, upholstery and accessories are the perfect custom projects to revamp your home and wow your friends and family.
The benefits of going custom
It is said you should “dress to impress.” The same can be said for your home decor. Custom projects are the best way to make your home truly yours. With the ability to mix and match prints, colors and textures, your project can really show your style. Our interior design team works with you to understand your aesthetic and create a look that will showcase your home and impress your guests. When it comes to custom projects, there are a myriad of choices. Our design team specializes in drapery, bedding, pillows, shower curtains and upholstery to take your home style to the next level.
Why plan ahead?
It is essential to plan ahead when doing a custom project. Custom projects can take time because of the multi-step process. The first step in a custom project is to decide which project you want to complete. Next, you’ll meet with one of our design professionals to design your custom look and discuss technicalities of the project to ensure perfection. After that, your project is taken to our workroom to be created, and finally, your custom project will be ready for pick up and installation.
From start to finish, your custom project will take up to eight weeks to complete. That time frame can vary based on the complexity, type and size of your project. Our design professionals will be able to walk you through the process and give you an estimated completion date so you can plan accordingly.

Upcoming fall and winter trends
The overall anticipated look for fall and winter is a comfy, but contemporary cabin feel. Shades of grey and midnight blues are the expected color schemes for the later months. We are going to see chunky knits, linens and luscious furs as the popular textiles. Checks and plaids are making a comeback in prints this year, so we’re looking forward to seeing those patterns pop up in design trends.
