What a wonderful holiday season it has been! Each year after Thanksgiving, I always love to watch the homes of family and friends transform into beautiful reflections of what the holidays mean to them. The special treasures of years past, beautifully decorated trees, lights and garland galore – these are a few of my favorite things! Who doesn’t agree that a tree full of ornaments and lights warm up any room?
I’m usually not one to jump on a trend train. You can take one look at my hair and figure out that’s not a big surprise, but I get asked all the time about the new design trends. Random people on Facebook message me about it. Truth.
Often, art is the last thing people think about when designing a room. It is treated as an afterthought, or as something that looks nice but is unnecessary. Art has the potential to be so much more though. It can be the inspiration, the focus and the essential element that brings your space together.

Beth Russ is one of those designers. Her passion for interior design pulled her away from a career in accounting and from there, Beth was able to find her spot on the Fabrics Unlimited team doing what she loves every day.
You may or may not have met the woman behind Fabrics Unlimited, but Linda Whittington is a big player in Oklahoma City’s arts and philanthropy scene. A long-time volunteer for Arts Council Oklahoma City and the annual Festival of the Arts, she has been dedicating her time and resources to the community for many years.
As the Festival of the Arts kicks off its 50th year, we took some time to sit down with the Fabrics Unlimited owner to speak to her about her philanthropic efforts in our community.
